Oblivion II
September 8, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
After 2018’s successful inaugural show including over 100 remarkable display cars, the OBLIVION team has amped up the nostalgia for 2019 with an even bigger show, beautifully exhibited at Ontario Place.
On Sunday, September 8, 2019 take a trip back in time to enjoy a day-long celebration of the 1980s and 1990s. The waterfront West Island will be the stage for classic, exotic and forgotten cars – with digital dashes, wild decals, and oh-so-square styling of the era.
OBLIVION brings together a community of car lovers who share a passion for a time period that is neglected by other car shows. Guests will love playing classic 8- and 16-bit video games on CRT televisions, or jamming to the hits of the 80s and 90s. And when hunger strikes there will be delicious food trucks on-site.
“It’s really a nostalgic show, and the difference is the nostalgia has shifted. People of (our) age group are now looking back at the cars we grew up with to take us back,” said OBLIVION founder Justin Sookraj.
The family-friendly show encourages parents to bring their young children to experience the popular culture of when their parents grew up, and see the movie cars from hit films and TV shows of this era. The show will take place during the day followed by an awards presentation later in the afternoon. Funds raised will support the Hope for Children Fund, a charity which helps local families and children in need get a better chance for tomorrow through their education and poverty relief programs.
