2nd ANNUAL ODOC NATIONAL CAPITAL MEET
June 25, 2016 @ 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm
ODOC OTTAWA – 2nd ANNUAL ODOC NATIONAL CAPITAL MEET
The ODOC Ottawa Chapter has teamed up with a local Irish bar called the Barley Mow in Barrhaven (a suburb in Ottawa). They are excited to host our second annual “DeLorean Day” meet there and have offered to give us a discount on our bill that day. Additionally, ODOC Ottawa is working with some of the Irish brewers (ie: Guinness) to have some fun door prizes and swag handed out to attending ODOC Members such as a ‘long distance award’ or ‘best in show’ etc. The location has lots of parking and they will be reserving a row of spaces perfectly placed next to the patio for safe monitoring and right next to the main road for all the DeLorean Admirers.
Last year we had 8 DeLoreans show and we’re hoping to push that number to 12-15. All DeLoreans are welcome from near or far. Please contact Eric Vettoretti at Ottawa.DeLorean@bell.net for more information.
Also if you wish to be involved in a Delorean Convoy from Toronto to Ottawa along the old Trans Canada Highway, please contact ODOC Updater Michael Borthwick at borthwickinc@rogers.com . The old Trans Canada Route winds through some very scenic areas of the Province and is a lot more interesting than the 401. Like America’s Route 66, it features many roadside relics of a bygone era and has become known as “The Lost Highway” — even though it is fully paved and well maintained.
Directions/Map:
For out-of-towners, the easiest access to Barrhaven from points west or south is via Highway 416, exit 66 (Fallowfield). For travellers coming from points east, access is best from Highway 417, exit 129 (Greenbank).
